Hackers - Chicken Little - Homeland Security
C|NET's Senior Editor, Robert Vamosi's "Hacking Anonymity" dated Oct 20, 2006 Here's the link for this most informative and thought provoking article.
He speaks of Hackers methods and Dept. of Homeland Security (Government) wanting to control the internet for security reasons. In his comment section I had to say my piece. You know me and my love of government controlling our lives. NOT! Anyway, it got me to thinking more on this topic and I decided to add another 2¢ here. Feel free to voice your opinions either place; in fact ... please do voice your opinion!
What do Hackers, Chicken Little and Department of Homeland Security have in common?
Hackers are predators.
If they have their way, they overshadow our lives by taking away our common sense reasoning, our freedom, our pleasure, our joy, our fun and replace them with fear, confusion and worry; to promote their own gain for their own reasons.
Department of Homeland Security aka the Government wants to use those excuses to invade more of our privacy and take away more of our rights as Legal U.S. Citizens. They've already used fear for their own gain; their own agenda's and found it worked. Sound familiar? Our Government has become a predator that's draining the life out of a once happy to be free people through the propaganda of fear.
Now what could Chicken Little possibly have in common with these? Well, That's what they both want to turn us into. Chickens afraid of our own shadows running around yelling, "The sky is Falling!"
She was so scared she couldn't function. All she could do was run around filled with fear screaming her fear filled call to everyone in the barnyard. Are we going to permit any more fear to turn us into Chicken Little? If we continue to permit them to use and abuse us by crippling us with fear, we may as well give up all our rights and accept being victumized as our lot in life.
Fear cripples whatever it holds in it's grasp; whether it's real or imagined fear kills.
Frankly, I don't care to die that way. Franklin D. Roosevelt said it best, "We Have Nothing To Fear, But Fear Itself!"

Fix What's Wrong in our our Country... Editorial
I have some ideas on how to fix what's wrong in our country and sent a long list to the Democrats last year.
I've been working on refining what I think should be done to answer some of the major problems we the people have to solve in order to preserve our nations ideal of democracy and make it truly work for us instead of dividing us in so many ways we loose heart and let some asshole or foreigners take over.
I'm at the age now that I don't have kids to worry about, no husband, I'm broke and have nothing to loose but my life, and I gladly give that for my country's welfare. I've learned to roll with the punches so long I've learned the hard way what works and what don't. So that's where my ideas come from. Lots of reading, listening and watching, sifting bull-shit and using deductive logical reasoning for my attempts at being fair and respectful of everyone involved at all times.
It really bugs me how our voting system has gotten so messed up. I keep hitting the Democrats with my suggestions; because I think they pay attention most. All politicians seem to be crooks, but at least the Democrats seem to share more with the people that put them into office.
My first idea I'd love to get into action is basically concerning voting. One vote from every legal citizen for every measure, person running etc, i.e. No rider bills in the House & Senate ever. That way nothing could be snuck in on something else and no lumping together of a bunch of stuff into a single yes or no. Too many good initiatives, bills and laws get vetoed because of being piggybacked as riders on something else.
No party affiliations, just who is running. Who gets into the office would be determined by who was on the ballots for the position they are running for from the first vote choosing candidates, down to the final election. That way we can pick and choose who we believe will do the best for us as the voter. The big thing this would encourage would be National unity as voters instead of the current them and us mentality.
No voting machines without check and balance system receipts like EVERY store and market has already in play. Voters would get a receipt showing their vote register number, time date etc itemized like a shopping list receipt. Show your identification for submission into the database proving citizenship. Then if your verified okay, vote. if not, get lost!
No throwing out votes or not counting votes for any reason. If this happens.... the country votes again until the vote is right and the peoples votes have determined who and what they voted for in the majority.
No person will be sworn into office until the full count and decision is finalized, even if it takes a year to settle it. If the system can come up with a viable leader and representation for each state by the one-year deadline then and only then would we fall back on a contingency back up plan. The Governors of each state would then be in the running for the leadership positions beginning with the Presidency then vice pres etc. The back up people would serve 4 years only.
We have a system already in operation designating the person who will step into office if the incumbent is removed from office in some way; like breaking the law or death. Those people would automatically be in the running for the next step up just as they are now, but we'd have one full year to get the votes counted and get the people we voted for into office.
Eliminating the Electoral College and need for such as crooked way for politicians and parties to make red and blue separations states dividing the nation into them and us.
My second major change deals with the tax system. I have been fighting for the 10% Tax on everyone in the form of a Federal Sales Tax since 1979, but nothing has happened with it because money people would loose control. Eliminating the IRS, as we know it today would get the government out of our pockets and put the control of spending back into our hands. We don’t spend, they don’t have money to mess us over. It’s that simple… they would be forced to live within a budget including their wages. The government would have to live on the money it got in whatever sales transpired in the entire country.
Think about it... We now have 300 BILLION legally registered citizens add to that all the illegals who have come into this country for any reason: workers, exiles, just plain old border crashers, drug dealers, criminals, big business people who’ve left the country but buy and sell stuff here when they do come back, etc plus all those that currently sneak around without contributing to our economy from one loop hole or another. We know each of those listed people will buy something for at least $1.00 every day of the 365 day year, so we're talking a sales tax income of 109 trillion, 500 billion dollars a year federal sales tax income just on the legal citizens we now know live in our country. Add into that the others at a more realistic daily sales rate and you can see there would be plenty of money to run the government on without taking one cent from our paychecks. They government could afford to help with medical, dental and emergencies of all sorts for all legal citizens. And the nice thing is the undesirables would be paying for their being here automatically.
Do the math. I’m only figuring on the legal citizens at 1.00 a day. All the others would spend as well adding to the tax income over and above this base of 300 billion x 1.00 x 365 days = 109 trillion 500 billion dollars a year minimum to run our government; and that even includes the exorbitant wages we pay our Presidents on down to the congresspersons and representatives.
Think we could have some decent schools, colleges, and medical for everyone, more than adequate police, fire and other service organizations? Secured our borders, space exploration, nurture the environment, and on and on. Get to real research for the good of mankind. And no polluters in charge of the environment as we have now. Put the Native Americans in charge of caring for our planet's welfare in our country, no one would do a better job than those whose cultures have understand her best for centuries.
Just these changes would make all of us be in control of our own lives instead of fighting for the crumbs the way it is now. We'd have time for our families because there would be incentives to create jobs from all these shifts and changes. People with jobs, spend; spending gives the peoples government more money to expand good ways to benefit the people. Where pollution, lies, crooked politicians and squeezing the life out of the people only created destruction. Nothing good ever comes from that. And the best thing of all is we wouldn’t be borrowing from any nation, nor placing ourselves in a position of being indebted in any way to any other country except in the noblest way; because we are kind and generous.
I think I'll refine this and send it to the Democrats again... maybe it will give them something to run on besides throwing mud at the opponents... who by the way scream out to be made fun of. But. We need to be better than that. Stick with issues and solving the problems. Rise above the mud slinging and be united helping our country instead of continuing to tear her apart.
I went to my grandson James' football game Friday His team won... yeah!
I cried throughout the National anthem before the game started, because I remember times when everyone proudly sang. Now we are reminded of the kids we've sent in harms way; 15-20 killed daily. Our babies are dying in a bad war for no good reason. I was the only one singing or even showed any signs of wanting to sing. Our people are ashamed and hurting.
We need desperately to be proud of our country and our people again, instead of having the life ripped out of our souls by bad leadership and traitorous acts of treason going unpunished. We need the laws of this land enforced to protect our people against the invasion taking place in our country. The invasion: of illegals, of blatant law breaking: representatives, INSA officers, sheriff's departments, Police patrols, representatives Motor Vehicles, welfare workers, and every other agency assisting law breakers by either doing nothing or outright helping criminals to break the laws of this land. These acts are undermining our country's stability and future for our own children. They are traitorous acts all!
Helping someone is one thing, but we the people are being forced against our wills to watch and pay for all that is wrong and unjust. I have absolutely nothing against anyone wanting to come into my country and become a legal citizen, but I do have lots against breaking our laws and making demands they have no rights as legal citizens. It is that simple. Become legal, then make demands. I'll be right beside you while your doing it. But not when your doing it illegally.
I no longer care if I've hurt someone's feelings for I am outraged and incensed at the way our laws are being flaunted and broken while legal citizens get the shaft! Every word is from my heart. I want to heal our nation and my people, and with my God's help it will happen or I'll die trying. Please join me in the fight for our country.

Sampling of Opinions
I hope this sampling of opinions helps to give you a little insight into what’s going on in the world regarding our political front. I’ve taken samplings from several news sources and have tried to present what I found without any slant on my part. The links are provided so that you can go there and read for yourselves. I just want to help get the articles to you in a responsible manner. Thank you,
Jan
Taken from NY Times article: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/19/us/politics/19campaign.html?_

“It’s not just the Northeast and the West Coast,” Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York, head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, said. “It’s places like Virginia and Tennessee. Iraq and foreign policy are to a large extent albatrosses around the Republicans’ neck this year. And they don’t know what to do about it.”
Taken from WorldPublicOpinion.Org article: http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/home_page/250.php?nid=&
amp;amp;id=&pnt=250&lb=hmpg2
“A new WPO poll of the Iraqi public finds that seven in ten Iraqis want U.S.-led forces to commit to withdraw within a year. An overwhelming majority believes that the U.S. military presence in Iraq is provoking more conflict than it is preventing and there is growing confidence in the Iraqi army. If the United States made a commitment to withdraw, a majority believes that this would strengthen the Iraqi government. Support for attacks on U.S.-led forces has grown to a majority position—now six in ten. Support appears to be related to a widespread perception, held by all ethnic groups, that the U.S. government plans to have permanent military bases in Iraq.”
International Trade in General
Americans' views of international trade are complex and cannot be explained as a simple preference for free trade or protectionism. A strong majority of Americans views trade, in principle, as something positive and as having significant benefits for the US economy. However, the majority also has major reservations about how trade has been put into practice: Americans show strong concern that, though trade has benefited business and the wealthy, it has not benefited American workers and has widened the gap between rich and poor.

Struggling NBC Cutting 700 Jobs
By DAVID BAUDER
The Associated Press
Thursday, October 19, 2006; 3:31 PM
NEW YORK -- NBC Universal announced Thursday it will cut 700 jobs, abandon MSNBC's New Jersey headquarters and shift spending from traditional broadcast TV to digital entertainment, reflecting both hard times at the network and changing times in the media world.

Blair: Troops will be out of Iraq in 16 months
Tony Blair has set a 16-month limit for keeping troops in Iraq as he admitted for the first time that they would be a "provocation" if they stayed too long.

CBS News has a juicy tidbit they discovered.
(AP) Orange County Republican leaders on Thursday called for the withdrawal of a GOP congressional candidate suspected of sending a letter threatening Hispanic immigrant voters with arrest.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/10/19/politics/main2108717.shtml
Also from the page:
The letter, written in Spanish and mailed last week to an estimated 14,000 Democratic voters in central Orange County, tells recipients: "You are advised that if your residence in this country is illegal or you are an immigrant, voting in a federal election is a crime that could result in jail time."
In fact, immigrants who are naturalized U.S. citizens can legally vote.
It is illegal to threaten or intimidate voters, though, and the complaints about the letters that began surfacing this week prompted state and federal investigations.

Social Security Inflation Adjustment lower in 2007
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15313393/
(AP) Updated: 10:50 a.m. PT Oct 18, 2006
WASHINGTON - Social Security checks for nearly 49 million Americans are going up by 3.3 percent next year, which will mean an extra $33 per month in the average check, the government announced Wednesday.
The cost of living adjustment means that the monthly benefit for the typical retired worker in 2007 will go from $1,011 currently to $1,044 next year.
Just between you and me…. I’d like to know who’s getting $1,044 a month. I sure don’t. I get $834.00 a month and I worked 3 jobs at the same time over most my lifetime to qualify for that; after much hassling and reviewing. And to top that off, I pay for my own deductibles and co-pays and I have to answer regular reviews to keep receiving my disability payments. So who gets the amounts they say Social Security recipients receive? Can anyone answer that one for me?
I’ll be updating more often as time permits on issues facing US voters.
Thanks again.

We the People in the Fascist States of America
I read in the NY Times today about the big sanction agreement reached by several countries and about how South Korea and China indicate they will preserve economic ties with North Korea, despite sanctions. Well DAH! They are right next door to the nuts testing bombs. Who has the greatest threat from their neighbor; one who plays nice or one that threatens?
Here's a biggie on the plus side for China. We're in debt to them for millions of dollars. They have been loaning us money because our National Debt is a 258 BILLION dollar DEFICIT. In the Red and growing daily. And... We can't pay our bills without help; thanks to this present regime, in power, in our country.
I say it's time for "WE THE PEOPLE" to fight for our own Democracy that has/is being eroded, and sold out from under us for the past 10 years.
Just to name a few ways ....
1. We have the best government money can buy.
2. No laws for the law breaking politicians who have privatized our government, and sold our rights to the highest bidders. The only ones who have to pay for their crimes are us.
3. Our jobs have been outsourced, downsized and we are no-longer able to make a living wage.
4. The workers of the US have been sold out to illegal aliens now totaling around 2 million, under the guise we US legal citizens won't work. The truth of it is, we won't work for slave wages. We happen to remember; slavery was abolished. But don't worry. If things keep going like they are, everyone will be thrilled to work for 1.00 an hour which will bring business back in droves.
5. Our benefits are being given to people that don't have rights to them as legal US citizens.
6. The politicians are undermining our education system. Ignorant people believe whatever their told... they don't read, write, or think for themselves, which makes them easy to control.
7. The politicians kids aren't fighting and being killed in the war the politicians started based on lies. Their kids are too good to fight and die for our country, but apparently they think ours are just right.
8. Did you know.... The Republican Party is funding The Green Party? Why? Because every vote taken away from the Democrats is a Vote for the Republicans who have lied and cheated their way into office; lied in office to promote their own agenda, and put our country on the road to ruin.
What's that got to do with anything? .......... It takes 2 political parties to insure democracy.
Any more than that promotes Totalitarianism, Fascism, and Dictatorships like what happened in Pre-WWII Europe.
Multi-parties can be sustained in a true democracy ONLY IF the parties receive proportionate % voice in the government equal to the % won in elections. Australia and a few others has such a form of democratic government.
We don't have that system, so when the vote is split in our country. Our entire nation can wind up being represented by less than half the population. That my friends is not representative democracy. It isn't even a republic. When your and my voice is silenced in such a manner, we are on the road to the end of our great nation as we have known it; free, caring, just, and government of, for and by the people.
I'm a history nut. I grew up with the fresh memories of the horrors prior to and during WWII and I see a pattern emerging that scares me. 1938-39 and now are eerily similar to present day USA.
You don't believe me? Read for yourself how Hitler and Mussolini got into power. Here's a link to help you.
http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v04/v04p--5_Whisker.html
From the site: "Mussolini merely emulated Hitler by creating the totalitarian state while removing basic democracy." I don't remember who said it, but the quote is still true today. "Remember - if we don't learn from history... we are doomed to repeat it!"
Write letters... talk to people.... read..... make your voice heard.... don't just believe everything we are spoon fed on the media news and in the papers.
We aren't getting news; we are being entertained. We aren't getting facts, we are being lulled, controlled and played like children by the media researchers. They are controlled by the big money... the big money controls the government. Use your own brains; think for yourselves. Don't stand for being led like sheep to slaughter.
There are still free speech radio and TV stations in the form of Public Owned and Operated. Get your news there and from the BBC and foreign papers. Compare what's being said about us and what our government is involved in. Check the votes in Congress and the House of Representatives. Who voted what on what; what was sneaked in as a rider? What do you think about that?
It's time to get involved or you might as well lie down, roll over, and play dead. We can no longer permit lies in government. We can no longer permit big business to rape and pillage our environment; poisoning our air and water and fish we eat.
If you and I won't fight for your own freedoms and the future for our children.... who will?

1. There are an estimated 1.25 million injuries due to fires in the USA every year.
2. 89% of the civil legal needs of the poor are not being met.
3. Heat and heat-related complications caused more deaths in the US than floods, lightning and hurricanes combined in 2001, according to the National Weather Service.
4. About 27% of food in developed countries is waisted each year. It's simply thrown away.
5. Close to 4,000 people were executed worldwide in 2004, more than at nearly any other time in the last 25 years.
6. 132 police officers were killed in the line of duty in 2003 in America, with guns & traffic accidents claiming the most lives.
7. About one in six soldiers returning from the current war in Iraq shows signs of post-traumatic stress disorder or other emotional difficulties.
8 There are more than 550 federally recognized Indian tribes in the US, including 223 village groups in Alaska.
9. I read an estimated 50% of the poor are homeless; the rest are one paycheck away from living in the street. According to the UGM statistics 60% of the homeless are mostly single mothers with 2 or more children. Still another survey shows approximately 41% of the homeless are men; 33% of homeless men are veterans, although veterans comprise only 23% of the general adult male population.
10. 7,462 hate crime incidents were reported in 2002. Of these incidents, nearly half were racially motivated.

Here is something I stumbled on that is a fantastic idea.
This group provides a way to send cards to children that are in desperate need of encouragement, prayers and just a word of hope letting them know there are people who care that they are sick and that they haven't been forgotten.

Ever Have One of those Days?
It started out ok: awakened at about 6 am, felt groggy but not bad. Took care of the necessities and promptly returned to bed and my book; "The Face" by Dean Koonz. I've been chipping away at this really strange to describe book for a week now and it's getting to the point where I won't be able to put it down until it's finished.
Anyway, I read for an hour and shut the light off and slept for another hour; when I made myself get up.
That in itself should have told me something, but I guess when your thick, your thick.
Since I've been up all I've done is sneeze, blow my nose, sneeze, wipe my nose, sneeze..... you get the picture.
My birds are screaming at me to come out into the living room again. They know I'm up now and expect me to do the normal routine after opening the blinds for them to see outside. Normally I clean the cage, feed and water them, get their bath water and offer some treats.... they expect to get out too, but that isn't going to happen. Last time I let them out they destroyed a painting which I'm still working on fixing (and it isn't looking right), chewed a chunk out of one of my easel legs, crapped all over the place and bit me when I tried putting them back into the cage. Nuff said!
Ingrates!
Up to that time they were getting out every other day for a couple days at a time. No more! They can learn to love the cage. I'm done cleaning up their messes outside the cage that I can control by their living inside the cage.... and .... I don't get bit.
Anyway, today is drizzling rain outside, gloomy and overcast. Looks like a great day to sit in front of a nice cozy fire curled up in a big old chair with my book and tissues.
Now if I only had the cozy fireplace.
Guess I'll go make a cup of coffee and see what's in the fridge for making some soup or chili; perfect blustery blucky day food with minimal work involved.

You Asked my Opinion....
Just so you know, this thing goes on forever. I am giving my soapbox speech... someone asked my opinion.... so.....
I'm simply fed up with politicians in general. There is no honor among them any more. They don't care about the people that vote them in and could care less about the state of the nation. Just so they get theirs.
They don't have their kids fighting anywhere. Just ours.
They make sure their kids get an education and to hell with ours.
They make sure their futures are set and to hell with ours. And on and on it goes.
Not a one of them knows how to tell the truth nor do they seem to care.
All those people in our own country needing help: victums of natural disasters, loss of jobs due to business leaving the country, no more manufacturing here in the USA, outsizing, downsizing, mergers and crooks and their lies get away with screwing the people. Yet they make sure millions of dollars gets poured into a war that was started with lies and now we have the whole world against us.
We aren't the caring nation any more, we're war mongers. We are a nation of business persons with only one thought in mind...how they can make themselves richer.
People in Rwanda have been systematically killed and we never did a thing to stop it and it's still going on, yet we say through the lying teeth of our leaders that we care. Where's the help? There are only 300,000 left until they will have annihilated the whole race of people, and still we don't do anything.
Katrina hit and devastated our own nation. What's being done to help them.
Damn little, and what was done was so poorly managed that help only went into the con-artists hands. What's being done about it.... Nothing!
I'm sick to death with our leaders and I'm voting against everyone in office.
I want my country back. I want criminals to pay for their crimes... all of them, not just the poor. I want cereal-murderers and rapists, all child molesters porn peddlers and smut sellers to be put to death. They are an infection on society that needs removed like any malignant cancer. I want blue collar and white coller criminals: embezzelers, CEO's and politicians to do their time!!! and in the same prisons where we do our time; no special prisons for them. I want them to see they aren't any better than that man or woman in the street.
I want just as much right to my faith as anyone with no faith or different from mine.
I'm sick of being the whipping post for all the special interest groups. Me and my ancestors didn't do a damn thing to hurt anyone, so stop saying we did. It's in the past, get over the hurt and lets move on and solve some of our countries problems; for Christ's sake.
I want our citizens to be able to be proud of our country again. Not just goose step to some fear-spreading war-monger's lies. We have a right to an opinion and it doesn't have to not hurt someone by not being permitted to be said; even the President. Political correctness be damned!
I want my privacy respected and not invaded without cause. If I've done something to warrant spying on me, then fine... but I don't want anyone tapping into any legal citizen's life for any unwarranted reason
We have a right to not have someone constantly touting fear. What good is a panicked nation. Good for nothing but the slaughter. We're no better than stupid animals if we permit such bullshit to rule our lives. I'm a believer in Christ... and I'm not afraid of anything mankind can do.... why? Because MY GOD IS WAY TOUGHER AND CAN BE A BAD ASSED MOFO IF HE CHOOSES TO RAIN DOWN SOME HEAVY DUTY SHIT ON THIS GLOBE WE CALL OURS. It's all through the Bible for them that will take the time to read it and let the truth of it all sink into their souls.
Roosevelt said it best, "We have nothing to fear, but fear but fear itself!"
I want all the illegals out of our country and off our welfare rolls. No more free rides for illegals. No more special language bullshit, let them learn English.
I still believe the definition of "guest" is one who is invited.
According to the American Heritage Dictionary....
1. One who receives hospitality at the home or table of another.
2. One who pays for meals or accommodations at a restaurant or hotel.
3. A visiting performer or contestant, as on a television program
Guest worker n. A foreigner permitted to work in a country on a temporary basis.
Illegal (i-le'-gal) adj
1. Prohibited by law.
2. Sports & games. Prohibited by official rules.
3. Comp. Sci. Not performable by a computer.
immigrant (im'-i-grat') n.
1. One who immigrates.
2. a plant or animal that establishes itself in a new area or habitat.
Immigrate (im'-i-grat) n
1. To enter and settle in a foreign country.
To migrate (mi'-grat') v grat-ed, -grat-ing
1. move from one country or region and settle in another.
2. to move periodically from one region or climate to another [Lat. Migrare.]
mi-gra'-tion n mi'gra-to'ry (gra-tor, tor-e) adj.
Migrate sometimes implies a lack of permanent settlement, especially as a result of seasonal or periodic movement.
Emigrate and immigrate imply a permanent move, generally across a political boundary. Emigrate describes the move relative to the point of departure, while immigrate describes the move relative to the destination.
Ok, so I'm not so stupid. Here's the whole ball of wax in a nut shell:
Uninvited foreigners are sneaking across OUR legal borders the boundaries of OUR country... making them uninvited illegal emigrants. Making them by our countries language definition....(same dictionary)
Criminals (krim'e-nal) adj
1. of or involving crime
So as I see it they are rather like a plague(same dictionary) A widespread affliction or calamity.
2. a cause of annoyance; nuisance.
3. highly infectious, usu, fatal epidemic disease, esp bubonic plague. v
plagued, plagu-ing.
To harass, pester, or annoy.
So if we citizens want to stop this plague from afflicting our country further, we better do something to stop the criminals plaguing our country.
They aren't guests, they are vermin infesting our country and like vampires, sucking the life out of our country.
AND they are getting the help of
traitors (politicians) within our own government who are too chicken-shit to do anything to stop it; because their crony's (business) won't have slave-labor-wages and scared, abused people to do their work for them (making them money).
There, now aren't you sorry you asked my opinion? I'm sorry if you are offended by any of what I've said, but it's my opinion.... you don't have to like it. Just give me the respect I give you and let me voice my opinion even if at times it gets a little colorfull, you hear much worse on TV and movies.
So there it is... my opinion... I hope to God you have one and you have the courage to speak it at the poles.

Have broken car...get lots done.
Wow!
Having a broken car sure gets a lot done. LOL
It's a self defense thing to keep from going stir crazy.
In the last three days I've:
1. Moved all the furniture around and set up a studio so I can paint without the hassles of getting everything out and putting it away every time I get the urge.
2. Completed three paintings.
3. Re-potted three plants in preparation to move to the permanent flower bed.
4. Fed and watered all the plants within my hose's reach...about 30 feet.
5. Re-organized my computer desk to facilitate my art projects too.
6. Cleaned both bird cages and finally gotten ALL the bird seed from around the carpet edges where their cages sit. While.... the birds visited outside for the first time this Summer. And get this... it got so cold, they had to come in.
LOL Everywhere in the country the temperature is in the triple digits, here it's 60 outside my door. No sun. Ocean breeze.
7. Washed the windows on the outside. Haven't gotten the urge to do the inside yet.
8. Went through all the reading material for keepers and donatables for the library.
9. Packaged up a HUGH package for the Union Gospel Mission. Sad thing is it's in the car at the garage until the car is fixed to take it to the Post Office.
We don't have home delivery here, so I'm beholden to my son-in-law for picking up my mail for me. Bless his tater hole.
10. Gotten the car to the mechanic to get the ahem! Sweetheart! fixed.
11. Cleaned out the utility closet. I found a set of tire chains I can't use anymore. Know anyone that needs a pair of chains for a small sized economy truck? Free... come get'em.
12. Finished another crochet checker board and stuffed rooster.
Well, I guess that's it. Can't think of anything else right now.
Goals while the car is kaputz..
If: I get the ink cartridge in the mail ... I want to print out copies of some paintings, and crochet stuff for a catalog.
Also, I want to make sure I get a photo of a landscape I do from memory of a real place, so I can enter it into a contest by October.
If: I get the yarn from an order for a Cheshire cat and bumble bee I'll have time to get them done and packaged for when the car is available again. Hopefully the hands won't wear out in the meantime, from pushing it. Tedium and hand strain takes it's toll on the hands and wrists. But... I've been doing this for over 5 years, so I learned how to rest them and keep on going.
Crank out some more stock for getting into the Flea Market at the Farmer's Market in Raymond before the end of Summer.
Well looks like the pictures will get done, I just got the color cartridge. Yeah!
So... till next time.
Stay cool. Just remember... truck + tarp + water = fun place to cool off in the heat. Take it from an old desert rat from the Mojave.

To Hell with being Nice to People like these!
Am I the only one that gets pissed when Missionaries from the LDS and Jahovah's Wittnesses people ignore posted signs?
Christ Almighty it's right beside the door and in full view of the entry way to my front door.
"NO SOLICITING!"
"NO SALESPERSONS"
"NO CHURCH GROUPS"
"NO SCHOOL SALES"
I get livid.
This afternoon two numb nuts LDS Missionaries tapped at my door. Seeing who it was when I answered, I said, "What's the matter can't you read?" I'll read it for you, and proceeded to tell them what the sign said.
One of them popped up and said, "Oh, but we aren't selling anything. We're your neighbors." like that makes it alright to ignore a posted warning.
I wanted to go get the boiling water and dash it through the screen, and tell them that was for being liers, and that I knew my neighbors and they didn't live in my apartment complex nor in my neighborhood, but instead I was polite and told them to get lost.
The one genius who said they were my neighbors used his most syrupy voice on my and asked "Is there anything we can do for you?"
Now in my real nasty days, I could have come up with a few things, but I just whipped the big one on them as I turned and left them, "The only thing you can do for me, is go away!"
I guess I have to go back to the boiling water through the screen.
I'll make a big sign
WARNING
IF YOU PESTER ME FOR ANY REASON
YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE GREETED AT THE DOOR
BY ME
WITH A BIG POT OF BOILING WATER
WHICH I WILL FLING OUT THE DOOR.
IF YOU DON'T WANT SCALDED ----
HEED THE WARNING
YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU AT MY DOOR.
WALK AWAY WHILE YOU ARE STILL DRY AND UNHARMED!

Starting my own business again!
I decided that since I make all these things and people love them, I may as well get paid to make them.
So - I'm going to get a business license and advertise. Besides, that way I can sell some of my paintings while I'm out on the road on location. Who knows, I might even be able to pay for the art supplies and gas to get wherever I'm going.
Now days I'm not real sure it's possible since all the politicians have their network so tightly entrenched in our laws and have such a strangle hold on enterprise.
But that's a whole nother story isn't it? Anyone that knows me, knows how I have a big beef with the politicians.
Here's a perfect example why..... Just today I saw on the news that they are actually trying to stop an increase in the minimum wage that they have had frozen for ten years for the American workers. Yet in those same ten years, they have had ... count them ... 10 increases in wages. Hummmm something just doesn't smack right there. Federal minimum wage isn't even $6.00 per hour or a measly 800.00 a month gross. Know anyone that can live on that? I don't! I only get $34.00 a month more on my disability. I try to help myself survive, I have to pay for a business license just to sell my own skills: crocheting, sewing, painting (fine art), and toy making. And then I can't make any more than $700.00 or I loose my Social Security benefits. Yet they can get yearly increases in their exorbitant wages AND perks, AND perks AND perks AND.... well you get the message. And they are begrudging us a measly 6.00 an hour, saying "Businesses won't be able to hire anyone".
Excuse Me! That's the only reason they want to allow illegal aliens into this country illegally... they are wanting slaves and since we aren't willing to be slaves, they will just import them under the guise of helping those poor people.
Bull shit! They have no intention of helping them or us either... if they did, I wouldn't have to pay 50.00 a year for a business license then pay for the materials I needed to make the things I know how to make. I'm not using any machinery, it is all me: my mind, my talent, my hands, my supplies, my time, my money invested in me, yet they are going to tell me what I can and can't do with my own body and what I can and can't do with what poultry amount of money I may make off that talent.
Gimme a break. They don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and until we all wake up and start raising hell about what they are doing, we will all only get deeper into slavery and they will only get wealthier and wealthier.
Ok
So they are how they are, I'm still going to try... but you can bet I'm going to bitch every chance I get. And that includes to my so called representatives, senators, governor, President and the other Vice Politicians, oh excuse me the Vice President.
Guess I'll be among the elite few... 1 out of 5,000 write their representatives or call. It's a wonder we aren't in worse shape with those statistics. God help us!

Money, Greed or Faith
Mar 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples,
How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Mar 10:24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them,
Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! If the kingdom of heaven is all around us and in us, how is it then so hard for someone of wealth to enter into the kingdom of heaven?People of wealth always think money is the answer to everything. They can buy their way into anyplace. Not so says Jesus. It is impossible to buy your way into the kingdom that is all around us and even in us. To enter into that kingdom of God must be done by faith, and only by faith. If you don’t believe in God, The Holy Spirit or even in Jesus or heaven, then how could you recognize that it was already there; waiting to be discovered by you?Mar 10:27 Jesus looking upon them saith,
With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God. Mar 10:28 Peter began to say unto him, Lo,
we have left all, and have followed thee. Mar 10:29 Jesus said, Verily I say unto you,
There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel's sake, Mar 10:30
but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Mar 10:31
But many that are first shall be last; and the last first. So do we set out to gain riches? Or do we believe Christ and follow on faith? Believers follow: because we want to follow; because we need to follow; because we have to follow; because we love Jesus; because we are filled with gratitude for the sacrifice He, the Son of God, made for each of us on Calvary; but most of all we follow because we can trust Him when He says, Come to me and I will give you rest for your souls. Mar 10:35 And there come near unto him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying unto him,
Teacher, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall ask of thee. Mar 10:36 And he said unto them,
What would ye that I should do for you? Mar 10:37 And they said unto him,
Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left hand, in thy glory. Mar 10:38 But Jesus said unto them,
Ye know not what ye ask.
Are ye able to drink the cup that I drink? or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? The cup that I drink ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: Mar 10:40
but to sit on my right hand or on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for them for whom it hath been prepared. Ye know that they who are accounted to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them. Mar 10:43
But it is not so among you:
but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister; Mar 10:44
and whosoever would be first among you, shall be servant of all. Mar 10:45
For the Son of man also came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Here we go with the greed again. We can’t help being greedy by nature, but we can overcome that nature if we put forth a little effort. Just because we become disciples, apostles, prophets, teachers and ministers of the good news of Jesus Christ doesn’t give us Carte Blanch into the choicest seats at the banquet of Heaven; nor do we gain automatic entry into a seat at the dais. We have been adopted into the Royal family, but the Monarch isn’t dead, so we can’t usurp the throne; it’s that simple. Our jobs are to serve and care for our human race just like Jesus served mankind while He walked the earth. Notice we aren’t our ethnicity, sex, color or religious beliefs, but humans of this planet earth. If it becomes necessary to die so others can live then we must be willing to do so with honor, knowing we are following our Lord and He awaits our return to Him with opened arms of welcome. We can not spend our days living in fear and do our jobs.Yes, there are bad people in this world! We can’t permit those who choose to do evil cause us to become as they; we are to be beacons of all that is right, not mirror the bad; especially not… if we are Christ’s!Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. Mar 10:48 And
many rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David,
have mercy on me. Mar 10:49
And Jesus stood still, and said, Call ye him. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good cheer: rise, he calleth thee. Mar 10:50 And he, casting away his garment, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
Mar 10:51 And Jesus answered him, and said,
What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blind man said unto him,
Rabboni, that I may receive my sight. Mar 10:52 And Jesus said unto him,
Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And
straightway he received his sight, and followed him in the way. What will you have Jesus do to you? His answer is the same for ANYONE WHO BELIEVES…. Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.Labels: Editorial Comment

What I do while I'm sick beside sketch and cough!
Here's what I've been doing while I've been sick.

I've made two different lambs

An elephant, teddy bear, 2 lambs, a frog, a rooster, severl scarves and hats, and 3 back packs: a puppy dog, a pig and a turtle. Most of the stuff has found homes already. But if your interested in seeing the crochet artwork, go to my other site, they are all there.

Pictures of the Flood in Raymond WA January 4 2006
These are flood pictures of Raymond, WA from the Village Green Apts, overlooking 1st street. Someone in Raymond took them on Saturday 4th, 2006.
This is about 10 miles from my apartment. But the entire area floods like this wherever it is low enough to pour in. I live on a hill. LOL So the water would have to be about 30 feet deep to reach me. These pictures show the flood was anywhere from 3 inches to 6 feet deep in town. The flood gates overflowed and were shut until high tide went out again, so people couldn't do anything but wait for low tide.
This flood happened while the power was out Saturday 4, 2006. The power was out for 14 hours here in South Bend, but is still being repaired in some parts of Northern Washington.
Any time there are extremely high tides, and we've had an unusual amount of rain; this happens here in Raymond, WA and occasionally in South Bend. When this happens we are cut off from everyone.
Weirhouser Lumber mill is by the main road (river now); the river on one side borders them and the road crosses the river on another. The picture of one of Weirhouser's parking lots looks more like a boat launch.
These are ocean water flooding times due to the Willapa River being an inlet from the Pacific Ocean. Raymond is the lowest point of the two communities on the Willapa. South Bend usually gets a little flooding but not like Raymond. Some people in Raymond have had to move onto their roofs or into their attics and wait it out. It always goes down when the tide goes out.
This is another shot of Weirhouser Lumber Mill
Why do people live here? It's simple.... there is some sort of natural disaster you will have to contend with no matter where you live on earth. Just be prepared with some things to make you more comfortable and wait it out. Enjoy the little things and don't take things so serious; there's enough in life needing our attention; like a warm pot of soup when the power is out, a good book to read by candlelight, and no phones or
sales people pestering. LOL
We are all fine and we've all rested and gotten to know one another all over again.
One store was open for a while. It is a little neighborhood Mom and Pop store owned by cleaver Asian American neighbors in South Bend. They ran their generator till it ran out of gas so their neighbors could get things they carried in their little market. I got some batteries for my radio, and get this.... I was offered to wait until the next day when there was everything back to normal to pay them. I had enough money, but I was impressed with their trust and I WILL buy from them more often now because of it.
See what I mean.... good things happen all around us even in the bad; we just need to look for them and appreciate them when they happen. Thank God! They still had chocolate! LOL

Stand Up For America! Now!
Last night I sat and listened to two Representatives in the House discussing their positions of moral duty to the voters and how they plan to do all they can to make all the Representatives realize they are working for that voter and not the special interest lobbyists that have taken over our government.Rep. Kendrick Meek D-Florida and Rep. Tim Ryan D-Ohio gave their email address at the house so that everyone, not just Democrats, can write them and give their opinions, advice and speak their piece. So - I'm posting it for all you other voters who are fed up with what's going on in our government. I also heard Rep. Lynn Woolsey D-California speaking about freedom of speech. That E-mail address is 30somethingdems@mail.house.govI have a list of things I'm going to write them about and give my ideas. Make up your own list and send it to them. Here's my list:
- Bring jobs back into our country. Fine all companies that moved out of USA from 1970 on.
- Wages of our leaders; their health benefits paid by us while we get the shaft; their pensions paid by us while we get the shaft; equal punishment for all law breakers including them. Lie to us in office, break the law and your out of office; immediately.
- Tax reform; flat 10% tax on every person in the country; no exemptions rich or poor. I even like the idea of doing away with the IRS and making a flat Federal Sales tax on all goods; including food. That way anyone that buys anything will pay the tax: Illegal foreign visitors, terrorists or friends, drug dealers and politicians, big businessmen and women and mom and pop around the corner; yep and you and me.
- If the country can't live on the money from the sales tax, then cut your own wages and benefits and borrow money from big businesses instead of foreign countries. We shouldn't have to pay high interest rates to other countries when the government has to live within their allotted means just like we citizens have to do every day. This should level the playing field for all citizens.
- Definitely make term limits on all elected and appointed officials. State and Federal Judges included. No exceptions. No lifetime jobs.
- No welfare benefits for illegal aliens in this country. No more free medical care, welfare money, food, clothes, school, housing; whatever.
- Anyone not paying taxes in this country can't sell in this country.
- Kill the Patriot Act
- Stop spying on innocent people.
- No more automated elections. No more split up country for Electoral College. One vote per citizen counts in all elections. No majority winner but still loosing the election. All votes will be counted even if it takes a year to do it. No more throwing away votes. If there is a dispute, holed the whole election over again.
- No more rider bills added to anything. Each item will be voted on individually, and if Congress and the House can't vote what the constituents want, then we voters will settle the matter at the polls. End of discussion.
- Bring all troops home to rebuild & protect our own country.
- Put into operation around our borders a Star Wars Early Warning System similar to the Double Doper Weather Satellite system we have here in Washington for predicting weather fronts. With Star Wars technology to blow up any incoming threats; including commercial airlines that have been hijacked. (I still want to know why it took so long for our defense planes to react to the planes used on 9-11 for the attacks)
- Return our freedom of speech; we are not being unpatriotic by disagreeing with our leaders. We are concerned citizens; nothing more, nothing less.
- Anyone that wants to pray can; anywhere they want, at any time they want provided it does not endanger anyone’s lives to do so.
- Anyone who wants to get married can; they have a right to pay through the nose for divorces just like the rest of us.
- No more abortion mills. If someone has been raped then they can get an abortion, otherwise if the child isn't wanted they can be put up for adoption. The mother of that child will have her tubes tied so there will be no second unwanted child.
- Anyone on welfare will be retrained to work some job that will pay equal to the amount they receive on welfare. They will only be permitted to be on welfare for 5 years max. to give them ample time to learn a trade. They will be cut off welfare at the end of 5 years weather they have completed their trade school or not. If parents can't care for their own children due to drugs, etc. they will be placed into foster homes until such times the parents show their desire to provide properly for their own children.
- Sex offenders will be neutralized. If they are proven to be predators they will get the death penalty. No more providing for the care and feeding and housing of predators against society. We will not be victimized for life by being forced to foot the bill to provide for such proven predators against society.
- Put all our Senators and Representatives on the Social Security System and do away with our General Funded plan they now are in. They will pay into Social Security and will receive the same benefits as any other common citizen. If they want to pay extra for their own welfare in their Golden years, that comes out of their own pay. Not from the General Fund.
- Same with the Health care. No more special treatment for any of them; including the President and Vice President.
This is what I intend to send them. I'm sure you can come up with some of your own or even elaborate on these. I know I can still think of more: How about the hurricane victims, FEMA, Police, Firefighters, EMT's, Doctors, Nurses, Prescription Drugs; what about getting away from our dependence on oil? There are loads of places to add opinions and suggestions. We have the opportunity to voice them. Don't just sit back saying there's nothing we can do; because, there is...if we get off our lazy asses and do it.Stand up for America! Now!

Where were you when the lights went Out?
Last night (January 16, 2006) around 8:00 pm a tree fell across some power lines into a transformer and cut all power in this area. BOOM!
Ever hear a transformer go out? Sparks fry the wires and the lines dance with electricity. Flames jump on the wires and it looks like fire crackers are going off.Now add to that high winds and rain.Boy! Aren't you glad you aren’t a line person for an electric company? I am. I believe I'd rather have any other job at that particular time. We discovered this morning they were worried about surrounding trees catching on fire. Note: Gossip put the transformer on the hill up behind my apartment and the tree that fell, I was told, could have rolled down the hill knocking down more trees onto our parking lot and onto our cars which would have blocked ingress and egress from this complex. Fire trucks would have a bitch of a time putting out a fire in that instance.
The only thing that might have helped them was the fact we've had 33 days of rain. BUT! In actuality I read the paper today ( January 19th, 2006) and it was reported a 70-foot Hemlock fell across lines on 1st street toward the local market on 1st and Willapa Ave. So the small town gossip hotline was just a city block off when talking about the local disaster.
That night I was completely unaware of the potential fire danger. ---- I prayed before I fell asleep, "Lord, Thank you for blessing me." Boy did he ever bless us all!I was stumbling around in the dark trying to find some candles and some means of lighting them. I quit smoking 12 years ago, so I don’t have matches or lighters around in abundance. Once that obstacle was overcome I decided to take a nice hot bath before the water turned cold; thanks God for leaving us with water; at least we still have a means of flushing.I rather enjoyed my candle lit bath. No phone to pester me, no neighborhood music blaring, no loud stomping and playing of kids up too late, no one running up and down the stairs to apartments, no lights shining in the bedroom windows. Nope, it was nice and quiet and peaceful after the BOOM! But I noticed how much our lives revolve around electric now days. There are stacks of music, and movies for entertainment, refrigerators and freezers that preserve stores of food, lights, locks and heat to keep us warm and safe. Alarms to warn us and wake us. We've become too dependent upon electricity. So I took that little blessing as a sign to get my camping equipment back in order.
- I need to purchase a camp stove that will run on canned fuel capable of being used safely in/out-doors.
- I need more candles and batteries and a wind-up clock.
- I need to remember to keep bags of ice in the freezers to help keep what food stuff I have in them save from getting below safe temperatures which would cause me to loose all the back up food I have.
- I need to have some back up water supply on a shelf; in case the water goes out.
I hope this little incident will help you to think out what you might need for your own comfort and survival.God bless you all as we were blessed that night when the power went out. It could have been a REALLY BAD disaster, instead it was only a temporary inconvenience.

Go to the *Blog: Primary source: Sen. Rockefeller's 2003 letter on Domestic Spying.
Feel like debating these? Lets have a real talk about freedom and fighting for what’s right. No bullshit, for real…our futures are at stake here; we can’t just sit back and let this stuff go on or we wind up like old Communist USSR, Mussolini’s Italy, or Hitler’s Germany. Ever hear about them? If we don’t learn from history, it repeats itself. The following are comments made on the Democrat Party WebsiteWhoa Truthmonger, posting a dozen times, all of them half witted don't prove a thing. What law was broken, you ask???U.S. Constitution - Amendment 4 - Search and seizureThe right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. That part of the US Constitution was broken. There is a law, FISA, that allows the President to order speedy surveillance; The court can issue the warrants after the wire tapping, but someone must still go under oath, and Bush didn't want to abide by the US Constitution and have FBI agents under oath. The question is why didn't the administration want to have our FBI agents seeking warrants?Because either Bush hates our Constitution, or in the testimony to the court other illegal acts would be uncovered.Posted by JohnNei on December 20, 2005 at 12:42 AMOkay, let me get recent events straight:In 2003, at a time of great national crisis and wide scale justified fear, President Bush got us into a war based upon his statements that Saddam had WMDs and close ties to al Quaeda -- which would be, in combination, a wholly unacceptable situation, particularly after 9/11. These were the primary justifications for the invasion of Iraq. Those accusations turned out to be totally bogus, which even Bush now finally admits. In other words, Bush played us for suckers, using lies to play upon our fears and get the war he wanted. Thousands of our soldiers, and tens of thousands of Iraqis have died due to Bush's lies.(Meantime, the administration has been in the awkward position of both denying the torture of terrorist suspects, and at the same time opposing Senator McCain's successful bill making such torture illegal.)Now this same Bush who told us those whoppers has admitted to authorizing years of spying by the NSA upon American citizens within our own borders, without judicial warrant and without legislative approval. He claims it is legal, and vows he'll keep on doing it, so there.Ominously, Bush blames the messenger, the New York Times, for letting the cat out of the bag about how he has been ravishing our Constitution. He calls Democrats and others in the Senate "defeatists" for calling for timetables for withdrawal from Iraq. Now the Senate has stopped the renewal of the so-called Patriot Act in light of these newly revealed spying abuses, infuriating Bush further.Bush has gone too far this time, and must be stopped at once. Our Constitution cannot be casually tossed aside by Presidential edict. Make no mistake: If this stands, it signals the beginning of the end of the balance of powers in our government, the end of our citizens' rights of privacy, and ultimately the end of our democracy.I never expected to have to say something that seems so outrageous, but Bush and his NeoCon backers have put our nation on the first step toward our nation being split into something like Fascism and Resistance factions. Only if action is taken immediately, can this trend toward dictatorship and inevitable rebellion be reversed.Posted by Timesurfer on December 20, 2005 at 01:50 AMEquating Bush with a Communist regime would really piss him off. There parallels are there, for sure, for sure. I get tired of them calling people with a sense of social responsibility "Commies". Any communist government you study has more parallels with the Bushies, than with any liberal or progressive ideas. Is he trying to copy the Chinese regime? Or maybe North Korea's "Dear Leader". (Get rid of the poor, let them exercise their right to starve to death.)As rabid anti-communists as the Republicans were during the Cold War, it would really get the far right's goat. (chuckle, chuckle, chuckle).I like it.
Posted by Butte on December 27, 2005 at 12:24 PM~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`If they were all that smart, would they be Republicans? If your idea of patriotism is goose-stepping along with the party of greed and corruption and telling everyone not to ask questions, then you sure as hell aren't in the habit of thinking. You are supposed to be nice to the cognitively challenged. But you don't have to believe their crap.
Posted by Butte on December 29, 2005 at 05:17 PMLets recap Bush's reign
+ One stolen election.+ China knocks down our spy plane, Geo W apologizes.+ Wasn't defending the Homeland, 3000 Americans killed in worst security lapse in US history.+ Failed to react quickly enough, perpetrators still on the loose.+ Politicized National defense, ran ugliest reelection campaign ever.+ Rejected 500 years of international law, invaded Iraq illegally.+ Failed to listen to military experts, had no plans in place to secure Iraq. Led to chaos, and present insurgency.+ Osama Bin Laden is now forgotten, but I doubt he has forgotten us.+ Economy is in the crapper, median incomes are down over 5 years, market indexes are down over 5 years, and Americans are running out of home equity to keep refinancing debts.
Posted by JohnNei on December 29, 2005 at 06:34 PMTruth Monger:
Bush is a corporate governing fascist who broke the law through three (3) types of FRAUD, in fact, to get appointed President. Now, Bush certainly could care less what laws he breaks.
Through control of both houses of Congress, it is Bush and his administration's intention to make legal all corporate corruption and all Bush and his administration's corruption of the law so all crooney corporate corruption as well as all of Bush's corruption will go unpunished. Bush and his croonies choose to treat corporate corruption like teen age juveniles; while holding to the strict letter of the law for the average Joe; so presenting his illegitimate fraudulent self as the true President of the United States; when, with the exception of fraud, Bush actually lost both elections. Don't you ever watch television? The story has been on television.
You will never hear the political truth in reference to the average person listening to the propaganda of the autocratic, Corporate Media Channels that represent the new Bush aristocracy.
But the democratic 9400 channels on DISH Satellite seek to get the unvarnished truth to the average person. Thank God for DISH-TV, especially FSTV (FREE SPEECH Television) and LINK TV.Posted by Martha on December 30, 2005 at 04:15 AMThese pretty much sum up all the arguments going on today. Now here’s another pile of shit that is starting to percolate with valid questions that need answering. It makes a lot of sense after the findings on the JFK murder, and the totally illegal Kent State shootings.
This is from Wimp.comhttp://www.wimp.com/doll/ http://www.wimp.com/bushconspiracy/~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~If you’ve taken the time to read these and visit the wimp site video, by this time you should be irate fighting mad. News articles have said Bush's warrant less eavesdropping reportedly targeted between 500 and 1,000 people a year? The practice has been going on since before 9/11 2001. From what I’ve read the tally is closer to millions of innocent citizens who’s rights have been violated in the past half-century by one means or another. Bush just didn’t get warrants from the secretive Kangaroo court set up to give warrants for just that purpose. Looks to me like we need a major house cleaning in Washington. Let’s just begin at the top and continue on until all the fat cats, and paid cronies are cleaned out of the house and senate; then move on into our court system and restore our rights.

Tinker, Tailor, Miner, Spy Why the NSA’s snooping is unprecedented in scale and scope. By Shane Harris and Tim Naftali Posted Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at 6:30 AM ET
The Times
reported that the companies have granted the NSA access to their all-important switches, the hubs through which colossal volumes of voice calls and data transmissions move every second. A former telecom executive told us that efforts to obtain call details go back to early 2001, predating the 9/11 attacks and the president's now celebrated secret executive order. The source, who asked not to be identified so as not to out his former company, reports that the NSA approached U.S. carriers and asked for their cooperation in a "data-mining" operation, which might eventually cull "millions" of individual calls and e-mails. Like the pressure applied to ITT a half-century ago! They have spied on (we have to assume innocence until proven guilty by a court of law) “3,000 to millions” of totally innocent American citizens.
Are their/your/my rights less important than the rest of the country’s innocent American citizens? Excerpt from Slate Magazine article:
Listening In and Naming Names The old tricks of the National Security Agency. By Patrick Radden Keefe Posted Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 3:22 PM ET
The following year, as Washington began its full-court press for an invasion of Iraq, the NSA launched a surge of eavesdropping on delegates to the U.N. Security Council in New York. The operation was revealed when an English eavesdropper leaked an NSA e-mail requesting British assistance in the effort. It was a front-page story in Europe and around the world, but the American press didn't run with it, showing a level of deference to NSA secrecy matched only by Congress. Never mind that the eavesdropping took place in Manhattan and violated the General Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, the Headquarters Agreement for the United Nations, and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, all of which the United States has signed. Our political parties are scratching their heads, not knowing what should be done to bring our troops home. I hear comments like it’s a no win situation. Sorry, but I’m an optimist and I still believe in our founders system of self-government, here in the United States of America.
I have a plan for them.
If we set our own political structure right, we can bring our troops home holding their/our heads high, and walk away from “
the war that should never have been”. We can once again be the shining example of Democracy in action. We will restore our citizenry’s faith and restore faith in our country by other Nations. We will show the world we aren’t heartless warmongers, and what is capable of happening in a truly Democratic Republic even when elected leaders jack their constituents around.
If we believe: - More in our founding beliefs than we do in partisanships.
- We must honor our heritage more than false loyalties to unworthy leaders.
- Our laws are for all our citizens to protect and to defend not just our soldiers.
- We have a moral duty to our children to insure and promote their futures.
- We will not tolerate unlawful spying on our own citizens.
Then the simple act of taking control of our own country can allow us to be proud and free once more.
Come on people, let’s bring our soldiers back from all over the world and put them to rebuilding, protecting and caring for our own ravaged country here at home.

Help make 2006 the year "Of the People"
Here in it's entirety is Congresswoman Louise M. Slaughter's Thursday, December 29, 2005 Newsletter. I'm posting this in the hopes that many of you will join in the movement for justice and insuring our freedoms are not cast aside for power-hungry political self-interests.
- We must stand united or we will loose all our freedoms for which so many have fought and died. The dream of a country where we could live by higher standards than the rest of the world, with freedom. This President's policies and actions have sullied and dirtied those standards and must be held accountable.
- To think our own thoughts, without being cajoled or suffer coercion be shamed into becoming mindless goose-stepping fools. This President's delusional one-tract-minded war machine smacks of the witch-hunts of McCarthy; when all who opposed were suspect, or called anti-American.
- To believe AND/OR not believe without suffering persecution for those beliefs, or having your rights stripped from you for those beliefs. Changing the constitution to fit the agenda of power hungry self-interest groups is not the intention of the founders of this country. Otherwise the words Of the people, by the people and for the people would never have been made so predominate.
- To change what we know to be wrong, so that this mighty Nation's original dream can and will continue to thrive in future generations of "We the People".... Mighty words for a mighty people; tender hearted, generous, caring lovers of Our standard..."In God We Trust!"
- And most of all the freedom to make every person living within the boundaries of the United States of America conform to the same laws and regulations; not laws separating the rich/politicians and the poor/constituents, but equal justice under our laws for all our people: male, female, young and old; and every nationality and color or non-color under the sun who call themselves citizens of the United States of America. Normaly I'd say proud americans, but this President has shamed us and stripped us of the right to be proud of ourselves. Sneaky is as sneaky does. Never trust a sneak!
My Irish Grandfather's advice to live by still holds true today. "Never do anything you wouldn't want put on the front page of the newspaper. If you live by this, you'll never have to be ashamed".
We must now regain and win back the honor we once knew as a Nation, and it starts with making everyone accountable; including our President!
Won't you join us please?
Jan
Dear Janice,
First of all, I want to wish you happy holidays and a very happy New Year. Thanks to all of you for your feedback and comments to my last email, in which I urged you to sign a petition calling on Congressman James Sensenbrenner Jr., Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and Congressman Peter Hoekstra, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, to hold hearings demanding answers about the Bush administration's spying on American citizens. If you haven't signed my petition yet, please join the thousands of other Americans who have signed it already, by going here:
http://www.votelouise.com/DemandHearingsforSpyingBut I will not be satisfied just by demanding hearings from my Republican colleagues. I have also submitted a Resolution of Inquiry (H. RES. 644) in the House of Representatives requesting the President and directing the Attorney General to turn over to the House any and all documents relating to the authorization of this secret spying program on American citizens. Here is the text of that resolution:
http://www.votelouise.com/blog/310/time-for-bush-to-turn-over-his-papers-re-spying-on-americansThe issue here is whether the President violated any rule of law. Here is what indicted Representative Tom DeLay said back in 1998, when he came out in support of the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, based on the highest standard of the "rule of law":
[T]his nation sits at a crossroads. One direction points to the higher road of the rule of law. Sometimes hard, sometimes unpleasant, this path relies on truth, justice and the rigorous application of the principle that no man is above the law. Now, the other road is the path of least resistance. This is where we start making exceptions to our laws based on poll numbers and spin control. This is when we pitch the law completely overboard when the mood fits us, when we ignore the facts in order to cover up the truth. ... No man is above the law, and no man is below the law. That's the principle that we all hold very dear in this country.
Tom DeLay's words are deeply ironic, but also illuminating for all of us at a time when we are reading story after story about government spying on American citizens. These stories raise questions about whether the President of the United States violated any rule of law under the Foreign Intelligence Service Act and the United States Constitution by authorizing domestic surveillance over American citizens without first obtaining court-approved warrants.
That is why the House of Representatives must step up and do its part to hold this Administration accountable for its actions and demand answers by conducting thorough and dignified hearings concerning spying on Americans. So, if you have not signed my petition yet, please sign it today and pass it on:
http://www.votelouise.com/DemandHearingsforSpying Let's not let up on this issue of spying on our own citizens. I am doing everything I can to do my part as an elected official in the U. S. Congress to seek answers and accountability from this Administration. That is why I submitted the Resolution of Inquiry, which I will urge all of my colleagues in the House to support so that we can get all the facts behind this spying program. Meanwhile, if you have any other ideas, feedback, or suggestions on how we can keep focus on this very important issue in Congress, and maintain this as one of the major topics in our national political discourse going into 2006, please post them on my web journal by going here:
http://www.votelouise.com/blogThanks again for your support, passion, and all of your work to restore faith in our democracy.
In Solidarity,
Congresswoman
Louise M. Slaughter
