Talk About a Fish Story!!!!

A guy who lives at Lake Conroe

(50 miles north of Houston ) saw a ball bouncing around kind of strange in the lake and went to investigate.

It turned out to be a flathead catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a basketball which became stuck in its mouth!!

The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive, but unable to because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface.

The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry
catfish.

You probably wouldn' t have believed this, if you hadn't seen the following pictures...

Wow! I survived my Birthday! Now I'm older than Dirt!

Another year down... Phew! I haven't gotten this bad yet... LOL

Last Friday my grandson and his team kicked butt again. The score stands at 4 wins 1 loss so far. Not bad!
He's a Sr this year, and would have liked the season to be a total no losses, but what the heck; one loss isn't bad at all.

Are you ready for this? The sky has opened up and practically sent us a monsoon since Saturday last. AND ....The forecast is for WORSE rains to come. Ha ha ha.. A Tsunami is the only thing that could be worse right now, and I really don't want one of them either. On second thought.. snow might be worse.... maybe.... for driving, but lots of fun to play in. Yes even at my age of older than dirt... spbltttt!

An insurance agent once said that if they could make it through October 31st without bad flooding, they would be good for the rest of the year. Hummmmmm! This is only October 2nd. O M G!

Been there and done all of them. I liked the shopping and guns and cold beer the best. Haven't been to Maine yet, but I hear it's beautiful in the Fall.

Speaking of Fall..... It got colder than a well digger's ankles when the sun went down last Friday, and we had a gully washer rain storm before the game started, but not one drop during the game. THANK GOD!
I've been fighting sore throat ever since, and to keep my promise to James that I'd be at all his games this year, I have to keep myself well enough to go.

So there's what's happening on my side of the world. Rain rain and more rain changing to light showers then sea poop and mist, followed by torrential downpours and moderate monsoons. Ah.... Fall and Winter in Washington. That's what I get for living in a rain forest. LOL

See ya at the game. Go Indians!
